lady in red...

I wanted to try and record the movement of the dominoes falling using paint...these are some of my experiments! I dipped one side of each domino in paint and stood them up as normal,pushed them ...splattering the red paint on the sheet as they fell! It was not the result I had hoped for but I do love the simplicity of the red slightly abstract pattern on the page. The 3 pages together are more visually appealing to the audience I feel.

anddd they fall like dominoooooooes...

I made these domino replicas out of closely knit wire mesh ...it was a very interesting material to work with but however the texture did not reflect the smooth shiny surface of actual dominoes. When I pushed the handmade wire replicas...they were more reluctant to fall,due to friction of the wire mesh rubbing off each other...whereas normal ones would fall with an almost fluid-like quality.I plan on rectifying this...!!!

Ahh my Mind maps... basically my thought process on paper...these ideas are all relating to our project dealing with Movement and Motion. At the start my mind was addled with all the countless possibilities in which this project could take me. Scribbling my ideas on paper always helps! I decided on the idea of "The domino effect". I was intrigued by the kinetic art concept...so decided to try and investigate it further ... here's hoping!!!!
